A Tracker of Parties' Social Media Activity and the Political Issues they Communicate About
PartySOME tracks how political parties communicate on social media, and what they talk about while doing it. It combines a large, harmonized corpus of official party posts with a classification of those posts into standardized policy issues, built for comparative research on party competition and political communication.
This dashboard is built for both academics and the broader public to explore what parties are talking about on social media, close to real time.

This is an early version of the site, and a work in progress. The dashboard, this landing page, and the underlying data pipeline are all still being actively built out. More is coming — including computer-vision classification of the images and video parties post, alongside the text-based issue classification already live here — so expect things to keep changing and expanding.

PhD Candidate, Sciences Po Paris
Malo's research focuses on party competition on climate change and its effects on political attitudes and behavior. His work has been published in the American Political Science Review, Party Politics, Global Environmental Politics, West European Politics, and Revue française de science politique.
Luis Sattelmayer
Postdoctoral Researcher, University of Innsbruck
Luis's research focuses on party competition and political conflict in Western Europe, with a special emphasis on party communication, party positions, and issue salience in shaping voter behavior and party fortunes. His work has been published in the American Political Science Review, Party Politics, and West European Politics.
